The Chattri Indian War memorial on the South Downs above Brighton
The Chattri, which is a memorial to the Indian troops who lost their lives fighting on the side of the British Empire in the First World War, stands on the Downs above Brighton not far from the windmills at Clayton.
A glorious October afternoon with high altitude cloud being formed by eddies into rings and various other shapes produced an interesting backdrop for this study of the Chattri.
