Boxgrove Priory Church
The church of St Mary & St Blaise, Boxgrove
The church of St Mary and St Blaise occupies the former Monastic Church dating from early Norman times, and was part of a double church that existed at the time of the Priory. The Parish church is mostly in ruins and can be seen as a few wall remains to the west of the current church.
The nave of the church has a finely decorated ceiling and a number of noteworthy carvings showing French influences. Much of the floor dates from 2009 when a major restoration took place when it was re-paved in stone from Purbeck.
